TOUR ITINERARY
WEDNESDAY 18TH OF MAY, 2011
Arrival Venice Airport, transfer to "Relais Monaco" Hotel in Ponzano Veneto (TV). Assignment of rooms and meeting for the distribution of "Pinarello Giro d'Italia Limited Edition" jersey, bib shorts and Pinarello bikes, along with customized set-up. Dinner at the hotel restaurant "La Vigna". Meeting: brief on the weeks program.
THURSDAY 19TH OF MAY, 2011
The morning will be occupied with a visit to the Pinarello factory, a delightful insight to the production cycling of Pinarello's jewels Guests will have a chance to have a biomechanical test thanks to the staff of "Mariano Cycling Engineering". Lunch will be served back at the "Relais Monaco" Hotel. Guests will have the afternoon free in Venice, the most romantic city in the world. City sightseeing tours can be booked upon request (quote TBC). Dinner: remaining in Venice and dining at the "Enoteca Giorgione" restaurant in Venice. Accommodation: "Relais Monaco" Hotel.
FRIDAY 20TH OF MAY, 2011
Transfer from the hotel to the town of Spilimbergo where the 13th stage of the Giro will begin : Spilimbergo – Grossglockner. Upon arriving, the ex-professional cyclist Eros Poli will be awaiting our arrival at the Pinarello van to share the secrets about the newest models of bikes from Pinarello. Once the pro-riders have set out on their days journey, we transfer to San Daniele del Friuli, where we have lunch at "Al Portonat" osteria. Here guests will have the exclusive opportunity to taste the mouth watering "Prosciutto San Daniele". Once everyone has digested their lunch, the group will ride to Ponzano Veneto enjoying the scenery through the Pedemontana area (100km). Aperitif in a local Treviso winery and dinner at "Locanda San Tomaso" restaurant, close to the Pinarello store. Accommodation: "Relais Monaco".
SATURDAY 21ST OF MAY, 2011
Morning transfer from the hotel towards Ovaro. Taking the cableway to the peak of Monte Zoncolan to witness the arrival of the 14th stage of Giro d'Italia: Lienz – Monte Zoncolan. A hearty packed lunch will be distributed to all guests. Dinner at the hotel restaurant "La Vigna". Accommodation: "Relais Monaco".
SUNDAY 22ND OF MAY, 2011
Morning transfer from the hotel towards the scenic town of Belluno, where we will start our ride for the day (approx. 100km) . When reaching Longarone, we begin to ride the route of the 15th stage of the Giro : Conegliano – Gardeccia/Val di Fassa. The ride presents two main challenges, firstly the Forcella Cibiana and then Passo Giau (Giau Pass). At the peak of Passo Giau, we will wait for the riders of the Giro to pass (for those who do not wish to climb Giau can wait for the Giro in Cortina d'Ampezzo). A hearty packed lunch will be consumed during our scenic stop. A beautiful descent off Giau into Cortina d'Ampezzo and arriving at our hotel for the evening "Ambra" Assignment of rooms, followed by dinner at "Pontejel" or "Passetto" in Cortina. Accommodation: "Ambra" hotel.
MONDAY THE 23RD OF MAY, 2011
Today is a rest day for riders of the Giro d'Italia racers... hence a free day for our guests as well! The more 'brave' guests have the option to ride some of the Dolomites sweetest climbs. Dinner shall be hosted by the team Sky or Movistar. Accommodation: "Ambra" hotel.
TUESDAY 24TH OF MAY, 2011
After a rest day, guests should well and truly be ready for a challenge! Transferring to Belluno to view the 16th stage of the Giro: Belluno – Nevegal Time Trial. Guests will tackle this very same 15km climb and enjoy the "Prize ceremony" on the Giro d'Italia stage at the top of Nevegal! As we watch the pro-riders coming in, we shall enjoy the enogastronomic stand provided by our friends from the "24h di Feltre". Returning to "Relais Monaco" to cleanup and then to dinner at "Locanda Solighetto" restaurant in Solighetto. Accommodation: "Relais Monaco" Hotel.

Transfer from "Relais Monaco" Hotel to Venice Marco Polo Airport.
